Hakunilan Seudun Koiraharrastajat ry has the honor to organise the Finnish Obedience Championships 2017!

Finnish Obedience Championships 2017 are competed on the weekend of 26.-27.5.2017 at Ojanko Dog Sport Center. Ojanko is the largest dog sport area in Finland, and it contains large, warmed indoor training center Racinel Arena, surrounded by generous amount of fenced outdoor fields.

Center is located less than 20km north-east from Helsinki, and only 10 minutes from Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. There’s plenty of hotels nearby (key words: Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, Tikkurila), and we’re also reserving space for trailers and mobile homes.

Finnish Obedience Championships consists of two events: Team championship, and individual championship.

Team championship

Registered clubs can send teams to compete in Finnish Obedience Team championships. Club can also send several teams to compete.

A team consists of 3-6 dogs:

  • 1-2 Novice class (national class)
  • 1-2 Open class (FCI class 1)
  • 1-2 Winner (FCI class 2) OR Elit class (FCI class 3)

Team result is a sum of:

  • Best result in novice class
  • Best in open class,
  • Best result in Winner OR Elit class.

Individual championship

Individual Finnish Obedience Championship is competed in the Elit class (FCI class 3). Qualifying for the final takes place on the first day of the weekend, and 20 dogs are qualified to compete in the final. Winners are announced on both days, and Finnish Obedience Champion is the one with highest total when points from both days are counted.

Novice class (national class) – Team championship
Elit class (FCI class 3) – Team championship & Qualification for the Individual Championship final
Seremonies: Novice class, Elit class Saturday

Sunday 28.5.

Open class (FCI class 1) – Team championship
Winner class (FCI class 2) – Team championship
Elit class (FCI class 3) – Individual Championship final
Seremonies: Open class, Winner class,  Elit class Sunday, Team Championship, Individual Championship


Hakunilan Seudun Koiraharrastajat ry is a non-profit organisation, and one of the largest canine clubs in Finland. It organises trials, competitions and training for several interests, such as obedience, agility, rally-obedience, show, water rescue and many others.
